Summer Jobs for Youth
Instituted in 2006, the Ontario Government Youth Opportunities Strategy Summer Jobs for Youth Program creates opportunities for 750 youth from thirteen under-served communities in Toronto. The objective is to provide the youth with tools to help them succeed. These tools include job readiness training and support, paid employment placements for July and August and post-employment support.
