Involve Youth

This program is designed to assist youth in building new skills in civic engagement, leadership and project development. By providing access to new supports and opportunities, youth are encouraged and supported in their attempt to make healthy life choices on social, economic and vocational levels.

The overall goal of the project is to work with youth to:

• Build new skills in civic engagement, leadership, and project development
• Improve their understanding of civic issues, government decision-making processes and community resources
• Access new supports and opportunities to make healthy life choices on social, economic, and vocational levels
• Gain a clear and defined role in working with neighborhood agencies, initiatives and coalitions on social and service planning issues
• Participate effectively in local decision-making bodies and community building processes
